Professional email with your own domain: a step-by-step guide
An address like [email protected] inspires more confidence than a free account. Learn your options and how to set it up in a few steps.
Writing to customers from [email protected] works, but an address with your own domain, such as [email protected], looks more professional and helps your emails reach the inbox.
Your options
- Email included with hosting: enough for personal projects and small teams.
- Titan Email: a modern mailbox with a web app and mobile apps, designed for small businesses.
- Google Workspace: Gmail with your domain plus Drive, Meet, Calendar and Docs.
Step by step
- Register your domain, or use one you already have.
- Choose your email plan and create your mailboxes (for example info@, sales@ and your name@).
- Update the DNS records (MX, SPF and DKIM) with the values your email provider gives you.
- Sign in from the web or add the account to your phone and email program.
Tips for better delivery
Make sure your SPF, DKIM and DMARC records are configured, use a signature with your details, and avoid sending large mailings from your personal mailbox.
